(a) 
Definition.
For purposes of this division, "fuel gas code" shall mean the 2021 International Fuel Gas Code (sometimes referred to as the IFGC) including any and all amendments, revisions or revised additions to the 2021 International Fuel Gas Code.
(b) 
Adoption.
The 2021 International Fuel Gas Code, including appendices A, B, C and D (which are informational only and which shall only be used for reference), is hereafter adopted as the municipal fuel gas code for the city. The 2021 International Fuel Gas Code shall apply to regulation and governance of fuel gas systems and gas-fired appliances as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and providing for the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms set forth therein.
(c) 
Copies on file.
Copies of the 2021 International Fuel Gas Code will be maintained on file in the office of the planning and development department and may be viewed online at https://codes.iccsafe.org/codes/i-codes/2021-icode, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling as set out herein in the construction of all buildings and other structures within the corporate limits of the city.

The 2021 International Fuel Gas Code adopted by section 4.02.151 shall be amended as set forth in Ordinance 2023-018, which is incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein.
