All houses or other structures in the city shall be numbered in accordance with the "Street Numbering Maps" of the city which are maintained in the office of the chief building inspector. The number used on each building shall correspond to that number, appearing upon the official street numbering map, office lot upon which the building is erected. If there are more building entrances on any lot than there are numbers allocated, alphabetical designations may be appended to the building number.
(Prior code § 6-7.1; Ord. 1408 § 1, 1982)
All numbers used in building numbers shall be not less than two inches in height, and of metal or glass construction. They shall be placed in a conspicuous part of the building so as to be plainly visible from the street at all times.
(Prior code § 6-7.2; Ord. 1408 § 1, 1982)
Every subdivider, builder, or contractor, upon completion of a building in the city devoted to residence or business purposes, and prior to delivery of such building to the owner for occupancy, shall cause such building to be numbered correctly in accordance with this chapter and the official street numbering maps.
