There is created a community development department, the head
of which is the community development director. The community development
director shall:
(a)
Administer
the zoning and land use laws of the city;
(b)
Advise
and coordinate with the planning commission;
(c)
Administer
the city's housing projects and grant programs designed to maintain
the community;
(d)
Supervise
the code enforcement staff;
(e)
Coordinate
with city personnel that administer the Uniform Construction Codes
and Fire Code;
(f)
Administer
the city's redevelopment activities as directed by the city manager;
(g)
Administer
the Uniform Construction Codes and other building regulations;
(h)
Manage
building contract services; and
(i)
Administer
economic development activities and other special projects.
