The finance director shall assess a convenience fee of five percent (5%) of the amount of a fee, fine, court cost, or other charge being paid by the use of a credit card.

The tax collector shall charge a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for each tax certificate issued.

The following special expenses and fees are hereby established as follows:
(1) 
Special expense for dismissal of certain cases.
A special expense in the amount of ten dollars ($10.00) for services performed in cases in which the laws of the state require that the case be dismissed because of actions by or on behalf of the defendant which were subsequent to the date of alleged offense, being subsection (b)(1), article 45.541 [45.0511], Code of Criminal Procedure, permitting the taking of a driving safety course to bring about dismissal of such action.
(2) 
Building security fund fee.
A security fee in the amount of three dollars ($3.00) for the municipal court building security fund.
(3) 
Technology fund fee.
A technology fee in the amount of four dollars ($4.00) for the municipal court technology fund.
(4) 
Collection fee.
A collection fee in the amount of thirty (30) percent on all unpaid fines, fees, court costs, or other charges lawfully assessed by the municipal court in accordance with state law.

Fees to be paid to the local registrar of vital statistics are as follows:
(1) 
No fee shall be paid for registering and recording certificates of birth, death and stillbirth.
(2) 
Certified copy of death certificate:
(A) 
Twenty-one dollars ($21.00) for the first or only copy requested.
(B) 
Four dollars ($4.00) for each additional certified copy of the same record requested in the same request.
(3) 
Certified copy of birth record: Twenty-one dollars ($21.00), plus a two-dollar surcharge, for a total of twenty-three dollars ($23.00).
(4) 
Wallet-sized certification of birth: Twenty-one dollars ($21.00), plus a two-dollar surcharge, for a total of twenty-three dollars ($23.00).
(5) 
When a search of birth or death records is requested, a search fee of ten dollars ($10.00) will be charged for death certificates and a search fee of ten dollars ($10.00), plus a two-dollar surcharge, for a total of twelve dollars ($12.00), will be charged for birth certificates. If the birth or death record is found and a copy purchased, then the search fee shall not be assessed.

If the city performs the work to obtain compliance with article 7.04, there shall be assessed an administrative fee of two hundred and twenty dollars ($220.00) in addition to any cost incurred in doing the work or causing it to be done.
