The land owned by the city situated in Lamar County, Texas, approximately seven (7) miles northwest of the city, commonly known as the Lake Gibbons property, and described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the Hopewell property, same being on the south side of County Road, a stake; thence north 23°45' west 277 feet; thence west 195 feet; thence north 360 feet, a stake, J.C. Hathaway’s northeast corner; thence south 76°20' west 430 feet; thence south 78°45' west 200 feet; thence south 9°15' east 737 feet; thence south 39°15' west 341 feet; thence south 76°30' west 306 feet; thence south 8°30' east 407 feet; thence south 21°52' west 667 feet; thence west 1765 feet; thence south 1090 feet; thence west 1538 feet; thence south 299 feet; thence south 86°40' west 788 feet; thence south 60°40' west 1586 feet; thence south 610 feet, a county road; thence south 89°30' west 2020 feet; thence north 1°30' west 2060 feet; thence east 2090 feet; thence north 1714 feet; thence east 300 feet; thence north 1125 feet; thence east 1360 feet; thence north 480 feet; thence north 61°15' east 627 feet; thence north 62°35' east 1773 feet; thence north 29° east 1480 feet; thence east 1120 feet; thence south 65° east 1200 feet; thence south 38° east 458 feet; thence south 20° east 1000 feet; thence south 50°30' east 500 feet, a county road; thence south 700 feet; thence west 500 feet to the place of beginning, containing all land owned by the city, including Lake Gibbons and the adjacent watershed,
shall hereafter be known as the City of Paris Lake Gibbons Game Preserve, and is hereby set aside to be used for the preservation, protection and propagation of game birds and game animals and as a sanctuary for the same.

The game preserve established by this division shall be, for all purposes of preservation, protection and propagation of game birds and game animals thereon, under the control and management of the city manager, and it shall be his duty to advise with and duly consider all recommendations of the state parks and wildlife department, when advisable.

It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or discharge any gun, rifle, pistol or other firearm within the game preserve established by this division.

None of the provisions of this division shall be held to prohibit fishing in Lake Gibbons.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use a boat upon Lake Gibbons from October first through March thirty-first when such prohibition is posted at the boat ramp.
