(a)
Property maintenance code.
Definition.
For purposes of this division, the following
definition shall apply:
The 2021 International Property Maintenance Code, including
any and all amendments, revisions, or revised additions to the 2021
International Property Maintenance Code.
(b)
Adoption.
In conformance with Texas Local Government Code, chapter 214, subchapter G, sections 214.211 through 214.214, the International Property Maintenance Code, including appendix A, is hereafter adopted as the municipal property maintenance code for all vacant properties and residential rental properties, whether vacant or occupied, in historic overlay districts in the city as set forth in article 4.04 and article 4.05 in this Code of Ordinances. The provisions of the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code shall constitute minimum requirements and standards for premises, structures, equipment and facilities for light, ventilation, space, heating, sanitation, protection from the elements, a reasonable level of safety from fire and other hazards, and for a reasonable level of sanitary maintenance for said properties.

Copies on file.
Copies of the 2021 International Property
Maintenance Code will be maintained on file in the office of the city
engineering and community development departments and at the city
public library, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling as
set out herein.
