The numbers of dwelling houses, stores, and places of business
shall be subject to the approval of Town Council, however they shall
not be less than two inches high and of proportionate width, and shall
be placed in a conspicuous place on the building facing the street
within 30 days after a written or printed notification of the number
of the premises shall have been given to the owner of the same, his
attorney or agent, and in case he shall refuse or neglect to affix
the number assigned within the 90 days after the said notification
has been served, the Burgess shall cause said dwelling house, store
or place of business to be numbered and the owner thereof or his attorney
or agent as aforesaid shall be liable to a penalty of $5, to be chargeable
against the property and collected as taxes of the Borough are now
collected, out of which sum the expenses of numbering the same shall
be paid.
