A.
Police officers of the Village of Lake Placid are authorized to and
shall impound any motor vehicle parked in a designated tow-away zone.
B.
Police officers of the Village of Lake Placid are authorized to and
shall impound any motor vehicle parked when any vehicle is found unattended
on any highway or public parking lot within the Village where said
vehicle constitutes an obstruction to traffic.
C.
When any vehicle is parked or abandoned on any highway or public
parking lot within this Village during a snowstorm, flood, fire or
other public emergency which affects that portion of the public highway
or parking lot upon which said vehicle is parked or abandoned, said
vehicle may be removed by or under the direction of the Police Department.
D.
Police officers of the Village of Lake Placid are authorized to and
shall impound any motor vehicle left parked for a period exceeding
72 hours succeeding expiration of the maximum parking time indicated
during the hours of operation specified in the space in which the
vehicle is parked. The vehicle shall be towed, under the direction
of the Police Department, to the impound yard or any other place designated
by the Chief of Police for impoundment.
